Milnathort Wind Cluster

Located in a shallow bowl in the eastern Ochil Hills range and just 3 miles from the site of the annual ‘T In The Park’ festival near Kinross, Milnathort Wind Cluster is being developed to support the business diversification of a local farm in a difficult agricultural market, and for the benefit of the community of Milnathort through an innovative partnering arrangement with the local Community Trust.

The site has a previous development history having first been proposed as part of a larger project by other developers, then as a private development by John Lawrie Tillyrie, the owners of Tillyrie Farm, with Lomond Energy.

Originally proposed as a five turbine scheme, this has now been reduced to three units of  similar height to other wind farms installed nearby.
