About Lomond Energy

Lomond Energy is an independent company based in rural central Scotland. Since its formation in 2003 it has established itself as a niche onshore windfarm developer specialising in the sub-50MW sector of the market.

A highly professional organisation, Lomond Energy is well regarded in its field and is currently working with partners across Scotland to bring significant environmental and economic benefits to local communities.

Our business model focuses on joint venture and partnership arrangements to develop projects independently of utility and larger scale developers to ensure that economic benefits are retained as locally as possible.

It is this philosophy which has its roots in the early days of renewable energy development and has proved successful through the Danish model of community owned windfarms over the last three decades, to community owned projects at Gigha and Fintry in Scotland.
